MERITO Foundation assisted over 500 students to conduct school water, waste and energy audits

MERITO Foundation visited many of the schools participating in our EECCOA programs, including Ernest Righetti High, Fillmore High, Buena High, DeAnza Academy of Technology and the Arts and E.P Foster to support 512 students’ water, waste or/and energy audits of their school campuses. Audits allow students to access the present circumstances at their schools and understand where sustainability models can be implemented. Students engage in a project-based science education, design and propose measurable methods to reduce waste, conserve water, energy efficiency models or campaign to educate their community about ocean acidification.
